2 p.m., NASCAR Cup Series: Viva Mexico 250 at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, Prime Video

Late Breaking News:

Green flag for the race is set to fall at 3:23 PM ET. The race will air on Amazon Prime Video. The high temperature at the track is 68°F today, with a 20% chance of rain affecting the race.

Noah Gragson (#4) is the only car set to go to the rear, for a backup car. Katherine Legge (#78) is the only open car set to run the race. Ryan Truex (#11) will be filling in for Denny Hamlin, who will not be racing due to the birth of his third child this past Wednesday. NASCAR has already granted him a playoff eligibility waver for missing the event.

In practice session 1, Michael McDowell topped the speed charts, with Briscoe, Gibbs, Cindric, and Larson rounding out the top 5. Ty Gibbs had the fastest 10 lap consecutive average. In practice session 2, Todd Gilliland topped the speed charts, with Chastain, Gibbs, Blaney, and Buescher rounding out the top 5. Christopher Bell had the fastest 10 lap consecutive average.

In qualifying, Shane Van Gisbergen took the pole, with Ryan Preece finishing out the front row. Chastain, Gibbs, McDowell, and Larson make up the next two rows on the starting grid. There are 6 Chevrolets, 3 Fords, and 1 Toyota starting in the top 10.

Daniel Suarez, Ty Gibbs, and Christopher Bell were the only Cup Series regulars to run in the Xfinity Race yesterday, finishing 1st, 14th, and 39th respectively.
